775-socket heatsink into 478 platform

Hi
Can anyone tell me? will a 775-socket heatsink go into a 478 platform ?

Got a new heatsink today but found out its a 775-socket not a 478

Any help much appreciated

I don’t think so. Socket 478 has the quite another fastening and requires heatsink with another form of radiator than s775.
