653B/203B burn too fast

ive just bought this writer for my comp today and cant get firmware for it TS-H653B version D300 could someone help me cross flash this and where to get the tools… my prob is my disks are burning at full speed and ive tried clone and imageburn and even though i selct 1x it still burns max.

any information you need is given in the FAQ (see my signature) and in this very thread.

Apart from this, I seriously doubt your issue is firmware related.

You can only write at speeds the drive supports, and 1x has NEVER been a supported speed for DVD DL media.

well on my pioneer writer the lowest burn is 50mins but on the sammy its 18mins with the same disks …oh i cross flashed it but same prob lol

posts moved to new thread

a burn time of 18 minutes is 4x burn speed, which is nice. Lower speeds are not supported (there are few exceptions).

Please tell us, what media you are using, including the Media ID (from Imgburn log for example, or get DVD Identifier).

18 min burn is 8x on +R DL. BTW, that media isn’t very good, thus, the Pioneer restricts it to lower speed burning.

sorry m8 my pioneer burns it at full speed
