my question is why should us the consumer be treated as a criminal in the first place. These exceptions are like the warden of a prison giving you an extra meal, even though you are serving a sentence for a crime you did not commit. The DMCA should just be revoked. All it is ever used for is to strong arm small companies, and customers.
