I like a number of people on this forum am stuck with a 5005 @ firmware 102 which while hacked for region and 3 hr play still respects Macrovision protection.
I am hoping that if there are enough of us we can either put our heads together and figure out a way to implement the MV hack or that someone will see just how many of us could be made happy campers if they turned thier skill(z) to providing a fix. 
Feel free to bump the thread with what you have tried, or just a simple ‘I too am screwed’ reply.
So far I have done just about everything mjeep01 tried - renaming 098 updates etc with a similar lack of sucess.
