[QUOTE=muttman;2256035]For the longest time I have used DVDFab Plat without issue but recently I built a new HTPC and installed the latest and greatest version of DVDFab.
I am now finding out that how I used to back up DVD media is no longer an option. I used to us the Customize, remove all the menus, languages and other BS and rib at 100% to multiple VOB’s. Thie would keep the size down 3.5 -4.5 gb. What I am finding now with the new version 126.96.36.199 is it rips it to a single ISO file.
I would prefer to keep them all as straight VOBs, or a single VOB.
Someone educate me as to why what I want is not as good as a single ISO or vs versus.
OK… quick education… there is no difference in quality between an ISO image file, 1 large VOB file, or multiple (1 gig max.) VOB files when ripping a DVD using the customize option. (there are slight differences in the way they have to be handled on a PC, but quality is identical).
Now you can educate me.
How does a program that defaults to multi VOB file rips (any mode) and has to be specifically told to create an ISO file, in the hands of a “long-time user”, suddenly out of the blue start creating only ISO image files?
Can you provide more details as to what you are doing (and what burning program you are using) so this can be resolved?
