Are you o/c from a 40125S to a 48125? A friend of mine had those symptoms too. It doesn’t really affect the integrity of the data.

If you don’t feel comfortable with it, just revert back.:stuck_out_tongue:

Hi there, I overclocked my 24103s to the 32123s and got a similar problem, tried re-enabling SmartBurn, still does the same thing.

Someone said it may be due the head spinning up at different times…but bottom line my drive still writes well and all the discs I’ve made are in perfect working order apart from the ring effect.

You could try slowing the writing speed down if it concerns you.

chrome ;0)

media is not good enough = drive slows down writespeed = this area have a bit different look since it’s recorded at a lower speed = nothing to worry about.

#6

well i just tryed a blank cdr flashed back to zs0j

and i didnt get one single ring !!!

thats weird considering all those that flashed to 48x where not getting cdr ring at the end of the burn ?

hmmm shit why the hell do i always have to get defected stuff lol

looks like im staying at 40x from now on :frowning:

I said it was normal…

you get that ring when it lowers the speed at the end of the disc, because the media is not good enough for the speed you are writing at.

I also get that with some types of media…

tnx mate for clearing that up :stuck_out_tongue:
though if it was bad media i would get scandisk errors right ?

well for some your right

i do get a few yellow scandisk errors at 48x and thats the speed i get the ring on cdr on !!!

but at 40x i get no errors !! and guess what i get no ring eather

so it must be the media like you sead

tnx for the help

hehe for a minute i though i had a defected drive or i think it could be me thats the deefect haha

  :o :o :o :o :stuck_out_tongue:
