i posted 2 days ago about a problem with 2 sony dvd drives in my pc . if i try to update past version 126.96.36.199 of clone dvd , the software can see the drives but not the presence of a disk in the drives. the pc is a dell 4600 with sony ddu1622 and sony dru710a drives. these are not the original drives that came in the pc. version 188.8.131.52 and the versions prior to it did not have this problem. any help greatly appreciated!!
Suggest using a software utility similar to DVDInfo Pro (http://www.dvdinfopro.com/) and check the Firmware version of your DVD-ROM and DVD Burner. The firmware of your DVD-ROM and DVD Burner is one of the factors used to identify the media inserted into the drive.
Suggest visiting the CD Freaks Lite-On/Sony DVD Forum (http://club.cdfreaks.com/forumdisplay.php?f=44) for information on obtaining the latest firmware available for your DVD-ROM and DVD Burner. Note- Sony DVD-ROMs and DVD Burners are manufacture by Lite-On.
After updating your DVD-ROM and DVD Burner firmware to the latest versions visit SlySoft (http://www.slysoft.com) and download the latest versions of AnyDVD-CloneDVD.
If the above does not correct the problem return to the Forum and we will talk about Windows registry lower/upper filters.
