Win XP, using Nero Express (I know, I know… I’m gonna get a real version soon). When I go to burn a DVD-R, I notice that burn-proof (buffer underrun, whatever you want to call it), is not enabled. The drive does support it, right?

512 MB RAM… some other programs running at the same time (not doing much, just open)… what could the problem be?

DMA is enabled on both primary and secondary (“if available”).

Found this thread that helped a bit.

Does the disc burn fine and finish properly? Can you burn at 4x? Does the DVD play properly in stand alone DVD players afterwards? Have you tried a different burning application yet?

Yes.

Can you burn at 4x?

No. Media is only 2.4x.

Only burning non-DVD compliant MPEGs/AVIs as data to get them off my hard drive, so I don’t know.

No. Good idea. Will try that.

Ulead DVD Factory 3.0 also has that option grayed out.
