3550A and Nero 7

I, now, all of a sudden cannot successfully burn a CD. I have been able to in the past, have not installed any new software or anything… but Nero 7 fails writing the CD every single time.

Here is the log:

Any suggestions?

I uninstalled Nero 7, rebooted… and now Windows loads the drivers for my drive - but says it cannot find the hardware.

The BIOS sees my drive just fine.

What the hell?

I did the UpperLimit and LowerLimit trick… have my drives back.

However, still have the burning problem. I’m now using Nero 6.

Another follow-up. I had the genius idea of putting of the “bad” discs back into the drive… and it reads perfectly.

I dunno…

If you use Nero, always update to the latest version.

Burn at slower speeds (!) and use better/recommended media of course.
