As I said here:

this burner can read@48x like a charme...
My question is: is there any chance to edit 32123s bioses and get 40x read?
Thanks...

why do you want 40 x??

normally you can lower the read speed in the software you use

My reading is normal to the best of my knowledge but my 32x Lite-on writes at an average speed of 29.42x according to CD-Speed.(I’ve actually gotten higher numbers than that!-one test actually showed the final zone written at 43x with an average speed of 33.83x!)

Are the numbers some sort of bug causing a false reading?
I should point out that CloneCD also shows these unexpected speeds.

Not complaining-just a little puzzled.
