…my Bundled Nero NO LONGER WORKS lol. Seems they have their own way of preventing piracy. :stuck_out_tongue:

But the hardware itself is working fine, so thank you Maik for the firmware.

Only wierdness is that it doesn’t read at 48x, if that’s what the 40125S is supposed to read at. As a 32123S I don’t think it read at 40x, though, so this is an improvement anyway.

Don’t know why but my 16x42x Lite-On DVD-ROM reads at almost exactly the same speed. :expressionless:

David,

What’s your concern exactly ? Your current drive is no longer the same as the one Nero was bundled with.
Download the latest demo version of Nero and see how it works.

According to your graph, all is well. Nothing to worry about.
If you take a CD w more data on it, the drive’ll reach x48-49 by the end.

Well, you answered my question about the speed. The other intents of my post were to thank Maik and this forum for the firmware, confirm that it works, and let anybody who’s about to flash know that it’ll break their bundled nero.

Not if you get a hex editor and change the name to LTR-32123S. I thought that most OEM versions of Nero worked on a per-manufacturer basis, so you could overclock to a model from the same manufacturer without losing your Nero usage.

Good idea, thanks~ although I kind of like having a “whole new” burner, .

Why not try and upgrade it to the 48125W?
Even more speed!

Because it won’t work.
