I tried copying some avi files for the first time onto the newegg.com TY DVD+R.
I used DVDInfoPro and Nero DVD Speed and got many errors. For the first DVD, using DVDInfoPro I had to stop it manually because there were errors in the 900's and progression wouldn't rise from 31%.
On Nero Speed, both DVDs that I tried to burn (one at 6x and one at 8x) had a very sharp dip in write speed, the graph wasn't smooth at all and it couldn't continue reading the disks.
What is the problem? I have Herrie's latest beta 9 1.07 firmware, and I have my 2500a on the secondary IDE (HDD is on my the first).
1.5 GHz P4, 512 MB RDRAM, MS IDE controllers, freshly formatted (yesterday).
