(24103s) 32123s ----->>> 32125w

I have edited firmware XSU1 and now I have this firmware: 32125W with MRainer & PCAV, but…max speed is always 40x.
Is it possible reduce it from 40 to 32 in binary file???
Any idea?

What’s the sense in renaming the drive to 32125W :confused:

I have problems with software with 32 ZCAV —>>> 40 PCAV, I would only 32x PCAV &MRainer…

Don’t think it is possible to manualy edit the firmware so 40x is no longer available.
If you think you can harm your drive by burning at 40x just don’t do that, just select 32x max and be happy :wink:

just select 32x max

OK…I thought it…
it’s only for :Z cosmetic :Z change!

why would you flash the 32123S to 32125W.
The 32125W can only P-Cav but not MT.RAIner
:cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool: :cool:

Jip, in the beginning i also thought that nero and co got the max writing speed from the device id.
It seems however they actually just read out the firmware and then decide whats the max writing speed.

YES

I would only change XSU1:
40125S —> 32125W with MRainer & PCAV…only from 40x to 32x in the firmware
