I hope someone can help me.
I had flashed a 223Q drive with the 223F firmware by accident.
FYI, i have 2 223F's and 1 223Q and mixed up the flash.
I was surprise it allow me to flash it.
Any clues of how to flash it back to a 223Q?
Thank in advance.
Hi and Welcome!
How could this happen? Samsung's flash tool refuses to flash firmware that does not fit, normally.
Any clues of how to flash it back to a 223Q?Just the same way as you flashed to 223F firmware. Additional information can be found in the FAQ (see my signature), especially the firmware chapter
Funny you should ask. Normally it wont let you flash it.
In my case, the samsung all in one 223F firmware flashed to the 223Q with no problems, thats what happened
found your FAQ, did the nocheck and it went back fine
This is really confusing Maybe the 223F file has another flasher (with less restrictions) than the 223Q file. Could you please tell, what firmware packages you used exactly? So I can have a look into...
found your FAQ, did the nocheck and it went back fineglad you got it sorted now.
i used the SH-S223F_SB03.exe ( 2,183,464 byte ) straight from samsung's website. i used the self install one.
i click on it once, and it flashed my 223Q, it might be that the 223Q was the first of three drives and it did that one automatically.
who knows...all i know is that the nockeck fixed it. glad i found this website.
So you have some more 223 series drives installed? This might indeed have confused the flash tool then.
Thanks again.You're Welcome
