Hello,

My in-laws just got a couple of compac pc for their kids, they have NEC 2100A +R burners in them. Can I flash them with the Herrie firmware to be a 2500A? If so should I use Beta5?

Yes you can! But you’ll have to flash it in clean DOS with the DOS flasher from The Dangerous Brothers

If you don’t need the media speedups and bitsetting for single layer DVD+R(W), you can also flash to 2.06 for the ND-2510A which has the most recent writing strategy version numbers. The binaries are available from TDB, too.
