is this worth it

The regular Verbatim 4x are about the same price per disk at Newegg. http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817130047

As long as the free shipping lasts anyway.

thanks, funny if you try to order more then 2 packs, they charge over $8 for shipping. if one pack it is free.

Make a few separate orders if you need more I guess. Gotta work the system.

i know, i just find it funny

same thing happened to me. Had to order a pk of dl verbs to get free shipping for the order. Funny thing is if you order 3pks you get free shipping. Asked customer service about this and they said that 3pks gets you free shipping due to quantity discount.

I have a Buffalo BR-X816U2 Blu Ray burner USB drive attached to my HP G72. Seven of seven attempted burns on Verbatim LTH 2X discs have failed. Four using Cyberlink Power2go, one using the burner built into Windows 7 and two using Imgburn. I’m still diagnosing the problem but my first attempt using a RiData BL-R burned OK at 4X. It seems odd that a year after the original post it looks like LTH still has compatibility problems.

What’s the error? I was thinking to try Verbatim LTH media for my BDR-206 since it’s only ~$1 each though I’m not sure I want to put up with only burning it at 2x.

The Verbatim LTH media I bought was only rated at 2X.
Error Code : 0xeb020b88 Courtesy of Power2go. (I suspect this code is a catch all for I/O errors. I am underwhelmed with Cyberlink diagnostics.)

The following came from ImgBurn (I like the chatty log, it lets me know it’s doing something)

Yeah, that’s basically a bad disc, or one your burner thinks is bad. I’ve see that a few times on regular 4x BD-R media, but not anything like your 7 / 7 failure rate with the Verbatim 2x LTH media.

My failure rate (# of bad burns / # discs attempted) so far with my BDR-206 (FW 1.04):
0 / 10 Verbatim 4x (non LTH) [MKM]
1 / 30 Memorex 4x [Ritek]
2 / 25 Optical Quantum 4x [Philips]
