Interesting what lurks behind a bush.

The Progressive Liberals in the USA still can’t get over that their candidate lost. George Soros can’t sleep at night. I put the election behind me and so should you. Also how much of what is presented at the web site is true and not editied facts or the complete story or plain garbage? For crying out loud JFK won the 1960 election by fraud. The Mafia put him in power. Anyway lets stay away from politics.

#4

And big corporations kept the monkey in office so your point is?

I think the problem is the :Z republicans thought every one would be to stupid to figure it out how they fixed the election.

It always amazes me on how most Americans want a receipt for most important thing they buy but the one think in life that can effect them the most they just want to take someone else’s word for it.

I am a liberal and a Democrat. There have been instances of fraud in elections since the beginning in every country that holds them. But in the USA most of it comes in local elections, where dead people vote, votes are found behind the filing cabinet, etc. But even with all these things the election was not fixed. If it were the L.A. and NY Times would have been all over it. We just put up a poor candidate. Your paranoia is overwhelming.

As far as the 1960 elections go note that JFK’s father made a deal with the MAFIA to help get his son elected but Nixon did not challenge for the good of the country. And so it is time for the Democrats to focus on the next election and forget this one.

The USA is not a progressive liberal secular nation. There are many diverse philosophies but the majority of people are traditionalists and believe in religion in one form or another. Bill Clinton knew this and was elected (was that fixed too?). It is time for the Democrats to go back to their roots. The philosophies of George Soros and his kind are not the philosophies of the majority of people in this County and anyone running with this type of platform will lose the Presidential election.

Hmm! I’ll hold back on this topic. This could get messy.

I don’t think you read the link about the facts.
I find it funny when people get upset over the idea that an American election may be fixed. Then again if it wasn’t why is it set up so you can never verify any of the votes?
What happen to the vote florida in 2000? Well that made it all over the news and where did that go?
If you watched any of the news years before the election groups where fighting for a paper trail in fact that nut in californa said we needed one so he passed a law for 2008. Maybe thats when he comes up for reelection.
Tell me one good reason you don’t need a paper trail?
Have you heard of any other company or groups that have been able to look at those voting machines to see if they work right.? Why?
You know they will not let that happen.
Also they are fighting for the right to do so but so far the Monkeys administration told the supreme court to stop them. Why?
How about exits polls? I find it funny how the states with a PAPER TRAILS they where correct. Why?
If its not the case then let it be proven once and for all.
I bet you think Long Island Press is all lies too.
I tell people who don’t think it was fixed, next time you buy a house buy it with out a contract just trust the guy whos selling to you. Now I think that would be stupid don’t you? I don’t see any difference.
I just think we have too many unanswered question and a stupid person is the one who sits back and doesn’t ask why.

If you bothered to read my post you would have seen my comment that local elections have been rigged by the party in power in that district (not just Republicans).

Facts can be twisted and edited to make them say whatever one wants them to say. Much of the stuff that comes through on the Internet from both Conservatives and Liberals is later proven to be baseless. You can’t make decisions based on innuendos and suppositions. Based upon the arguments you and your links presented one would have to conclude that the Bush family knew in advance that the 2000 election was going to come down to Florida and they set it up to guarantee that the Governor’s brother would win. They even packed the Supreme Court because they knew it was going to the courts. Considering they did it under a Democratic President and that they were able to read the future then indeed how can you not want someone with that talent for President? But if the Bush camp had that talent then why did Clinton beat Bush senior?

No one has the time or the inclination to track down and read every link on the Internet and then research the facts to see if they are correct. Man you have to live your life. Some things have to be taken on trust. There are more important things in life then worrying about things you can’t control. Maybe when you are attending school, or teaching at a school or University you have the time to worry about these things. However, those of us living in the real world don’t have time for this. BTW if I could relive my life I would take my PHD go become a Professor in some University, get tenure and then become the next Ward Churchill of the world and have the University buy me out for a half a million. When you go out to a local restaurant how do you know that the cook has not added something to the food to poison you. You just can’t worry about these things.

Exit polls and polls in general are very inexact, and totally manipulated to say whatever one wants it to say. The fact that the exit polls in the last presidential election was so far off was discussed by the various news sources and depending on their points of view they all had different answers. By the way did Dewey beat Truman?

Even if you had a paper trail who is to say that the paper results are not falsified. Worse yet if you had a paper trail you could set up the process so you know who voted for whom. Would you like having your life impacted by the local government because they know you voted for the other guy. If you had a paper trail the environmentalists would be after you for cutting down all those extra trees.

I not only read the present LI Press but I also read the original one (did you know there was one before this one).

You have to hope that the adversaries to the party in power and the people appointed and hired to do so are acting as a watchdog to prevent fraud. Does fraud exist? You bet it does. But you have to get on with your life.

Things Republicans Believe: A truthful and sarcastic list

  1. A president lying about an extramarital affair is an impeachable offense. A president lying to enlist support for a war in which thousands die is a solid defense policy

  2. Government should limit itself to the powers named in the Constitution, which include banning gay marriages and censoring the Internet.

  3. The public has a right to know about Hillary’s cattle trades, but George Bush’s driving record is none of our business.

  4. What Bill Clinton did in the 1960s and John Kerry did in the 1970s is of vital national interest, but what Bush did in the '80s is irrelevant.

  5. Providing health care to all Iraqis is sound policy. Providing health care to all Americans is socialism.

  6. Global warming and tobacco’s link to cancer are junk science, but creationism should be taught in schools.

  7. Group sex and drug use are degenerate sins unless you someday run for governor of California as a Republican.

  8. If condoms are kept out of schools, adolescents won’t have sex.

  9. Being a drug addict is a moral failing and a crime, unless you’re a conservative radio host. Then it’s an illness and you need our prayers for your recovery.

  10. A woman can’t be trusted with decisions about her own body, but multinational corporations can make decisions affecting all mankind without regulation.

  11. Jesus loves you, and shares your hatred of homosexuals and Hillary Clinton.

  12. A good way to fight terrorism is to belittle our longtime allies, then demand their cooperation and money.

  13. Saddam was a good guy when Reagan armed him, a bad guy when Bush’s daddy made war on him, a good guy when Cheney did business with him and a bad guy when Bush needed a “we can’t find Bin Laden” diversion.

Some say that politics is all about beliefs and faith, akin to a religion. So I present the “THE PSALM OF PRESIDENT, GEORGE W. BUSH,” by Anonymous

George W. Bush is my Shepherd, I shall not want,
He will leadeth me beside the still factories,
He will restoreth my doubt in politics,
He will guide me to the path of unemployment,
He will anointeth my wages with welfare and then take it away;
So my expenses will runneth over.
Surely poverty and hard living shall follow his administration,
And I shall live in a one room flat forever.

5000 years ago Moses said, “Pack your camel, pick up your
shovel, mount your ass, and I will lead you to the Promised Land.”

5000 years later F. D. Roosevelt said, “Lay down your shovel, sit on
your ass, light up a camel, this is the Promised Land.”

On Thursday, January 20, 2005, George W. Bush taxed our shovel, sold our
Camel, kicked our ass, and told us that Japan is the Promised Land.

P.S. I am glad I am American
I am glad that I am Free,
But I wish I were a little dog
And George W. Bush was a tree.

The only thing I was trying to get across is that voting fraud is universal throughout the world and not just a republican USA thing. Corporations throughout the world have politicians of all persuasions in their hip pockets. But to think that all elections are fixed by the republicans is the height of lunacy. As a life long Democrat I can tell you we have had our share of fraud. No voting system, no matter how much effort you put into it, can be made fool proof. One last thing to consider is that the voting in this country is controlled by the states? If it was controlled by the Federal Government there would be more chance to fix the national elections. But the system works. Consider what the US has accomplished in a short period since its birth. I am fed up with people condescendingly blasting the USA and its people as though it is the most corrupt Nation and has the largest percentage of morons in its populace since the Big Bang. These people should look around and clean up their own house before ripping mine apart.

Well whos in power now. I say you have speak out about anyone in politics that needs to be.

Its does for who?
So I guess your idea on to fix it is to do nothing?
Or just leave the control to the corporations who want the Monkey in power to save them money?

I think its better to call thing for how the world see it.
I think the moron thing is correct when you have a moron in charge!!

I sure a lot of the people under Hitler felt the same way.
Never mind how far did he set us back in how the world see us or respects us.
I think some famous people from our past would have somethings to say, in fact I like some of thinks they had to say. At least they could but more then two words together with out someone telling them how to say it.

“Patriotism is supporting your country all the time and your government when it deserves it.”
–Mark Twain

It is the duty of every citizen according to his best capacities to give validity to his convictions in political affairs.
Albert Einstein (1879 - 1955), ‘Treasury for the Free World,’ 1946

I don’t want to claim that God is on our side. I want to pray humbly that we are on God’s side.
Abraham Lincoln

Conservatives are not necessarily stupid, but most stupid people are conservatives.
–John Stuart Mill (1806 - 1873)

The death of democracy is not likely to be an assassination from ambush. It will be a slow extinction from apathy, indifference, and undernourishment.
–Robert Maynard Hutchins

here’s another important little fact in in the US about voting:

you don’t have to. :iagree:

#15

That was my last time its to fixed for me. :frowning:

#16

I never worry about who wins or loses. It’s never affected me in any way whether who’s won or lost.To me,the guy who gets elected is hired to do the best acting job he can. :iagree:

#17

Do not invoke Hitler. I lost family members to Hitler. To compare Bush and Hitler shows that your anger is overtaking your intelligence. Interestingly enough people of my religious faith have suffered far more attacks against them in Europe’s Secular society then in the “moronic” religious right of George Bush and company.

Your avatar comes from my generations protest against the Vietnam War. When we finally pulled out and North Vietnam completed their invasion of South Vietnam how many people were slaughtered? It was a massacre, but at least we were out of it. After being against the war it made me sick to my stomach to see what happened to the people of South Vietnam.

Okay what do you intend to do. Overthrow the government and put one in place that will be fair and decent to all. Isn’t that what Castro said in Cuba, or Stalin in the Soviet Union, etc. Do we banish all the large corporations from the USA and go back to an agriculture community based on the barter system? Okay you pointed out the flaws now enlighten us. Give us some solutions that will work.

#18

It is commonly accepted that invoking Hitler into any discussion means the offending party has lost. One of the basic tenents of Usenet and proven correct numerous times.

#19

You should be a republican you just did what every republican does when he gets corned, change the subject. From what you say about Hitler you should have even more reason then me to ask why. Just to add to what you said. How many people did the us government put in power that went on to slaughter thousands of people?

I don’t have the answers but I do know doing nothing and leaving it the way it is isn’t the answer.
But do you really thing censorship and hiding the true is going to get us and where?

Funny stuff! I can’t stop laughing. Only in America.
