I’ve tried uninstalling both the drives and restarting the system and that still didn’t work. Does anyone know how I can get this on DMA? I was told that a system restore would solve the problem in another thread I made. Is this a full-proof way of getting it to that setting or is there something easier? I really need some help on this one.
Delete the IDE channel that the drive is on using Device manager and then reboot the system. Also make sure DMA is enabled in the BIOS.
I found the problem. The drive was turned off in bios. Switched it on, and now DMA is there.
