I have a Pioneer 112D with Pioneer f/w 1.24, and do not have any problem using the Kobi Package to flash it to the 112L Buffalo 8.25. However, I want to flash to the “112D” version of Buffalo 8.25, and, in a search, do not find any instructions/steps to accomplisht it. Can any one supply the steps along with the firmwares for each step? (or at least the steps)?

Does Buffalo supply a 112D clone?

Yes! I have the 112D Buffalo 8.25 f/w, but need the steps inbetween to get it to allow the flash.

@ jmp0889,

The Pioneer DVD Burner Forum is chock full of DVR-112D to Buffalo version Firmware CrossFlashing postings which provide detailed “how to do” information. Below are just a few ->

If the above referenced Pioneer DVD Burner Forum postings doesn’t provide enough information for you suggest using the magic Forum Search button and look for DVR-112D CrossFlashing.

Also on 19 Jan 08 did you already ask this question in the below Forum posting and also receive an answerer?

I really wish you would READ my posts before you reply with the wrong information:a:a:a

I would like to Crossflash from the Pioneer 112D Pioneer 1.24 f/w to 112""“D”""" Buffalo 8.25 f/w. All the links you point out are ones I have found and none refer to the “112D” to “112D” crossflash. All reference a 112D to 112L crossflash!!!

Honestly, I see no sense for that. The firmware would be 8.xx, you would not have DVD-RAM writing…
Ah, and please don’t nag on bjkg, he tried to help you!

Hey Mr. jmp0889 I did READ your original posting.

If you THROUGHLY read the postings I provide these postings do in fact provide the information you requested.

Example -> http://club.cdfreaks.com/1980661-post2.html

Once again your original posting in this thread this exactly the same question you previously asked in the above referenced posting on 17 Jan 08 and Forum Member jcusimano2 provided the answer your question on 17 Jan 08 and you even thanked Forum Member jcusimano2 on 18 Jan 08 for providing the information.

Regards,
bjkg

I can’t seem to get my question answered. My orig post was also never answered. I’ll try again: All posts thus far (posted anywhere in this forum)refer to flashing a Pioneer 112D any f/w to a Pioneer 112"L" Buffalo 8.25 f/w. I need Pioneer 112D any pioneer f/w to a Pioneer 112D Buffalo 8.25 f/w. The closest thing to an answer thus far (in addition to the condecending replys) is “why would you want to?”

Can someone help me get to the Pioneer 112"D" buffalo 8.25 flash? None of the prior posts referring to Kobi or anyone else are successful as they refer to flashing to the Pioneer 112"L" buffalo 8.25.

Thanks to everyone who has tried to help:bigsmile:

There is no such thing as 112D Buffalo 8.25 f/w. The 112D, 112L, 112CH are same inside.

Well I dont see any reason to flash to 112D Buffalo firmware. Hardware is 100% the same and Burn quality is 100% the same too (as long as its the same drive). Also the 112L has more features enabled in the firmware when compared to 112D.
But if you like you can try to flash to 112D.
Here is the link to it:
http://buffalo.jp/php/ldl.php?to=hd/dvmrxg18_825.exe
What you will need is a firmware with Kernel for Buffalo 112D and after flashing it with the firmware including kernel you should be able to flash to 112D Buffalo 8.25 with MCSE (this should be possible although I have never done it). AFAIK TDB has no firmware with kernel for Buffalo 112D.
Also please note that my package will not work to flash your drive to a 112D Buffalo firmware.

IMHO I don’t know why you would even want to go back to a 112D as there is no reason too

Hello, may anyone link to that “Kobi Package” jmp is talking about? Thanks a lot
