With both disks I have problems. The princo show as if it is burned and the dvd-rw fails to format. The format goes until the yellow line(on this mini disks there’s a small yellow line on the writeable area) and then stops. Another thing is that with both media the burner shows incorrect speeds.

I tried several firmwares… any idea?

BAH! :Z

Try DVDInfoPro to format/erase RW media.

I know… princo briax… lol

I tried DVDInfoPro and though it says erase complete, no error, I can see on the disk that the drive formats only until the yellow line.

What it that yellow line on these slim disks? It is as if the 3520a nec drive can’t read that spot. I used a pioneer dvd-r and I had no problem formating it. I also didn’t have any problem with the same disk and a 2510 drive.
