Is firmware 1.17 better 1.18?
Usually the higher the version number the better the firmware. It supports more media producers etc.
1.17? i never heard of it
Some newer drives came with 1.17 but it were probably fastly replaced by 1.18 in the production line…
Yes, my DVR-108EXL (manufactured date: January 2005, made in China, buy in Shenzhen, RMB699 only or USD86, plus 10 DVR+Rs) came with firmware 1.17, and I upgraded it with the latest 1.18 by myself.
What changed after it? Are some functions work better after it?
Well done lol
They looks almost the same…
Both of the date for the FW1.17 and 1.18 shown during & after firmware reflashing are 25 Nov, 2004!!! (or 23 Nov, I forgot)
