".000", ".001" (HardDisk Files)

What do I do with these types of files?
Can I burn them using Nero or do I extract them?
Please, any help is appreciated.
Also, one of these files has a ".sfv" extension.

You have to extract them.
Most of the archived files have extensions like .rar .r00 .r01 etc
Or in your case .001 .002 etc.
The sfv file is a checksum control file.

Most likely they are, as said, rar files that can be extracted with WinRar

But they might also be ace files, to be extracted with WinAce

You can also burn them with Nero, but then you burn the exact files onto CD as a backup, as you would with for example Word documents…just larger files

Hey, thank you very much, but I tried to extract them and WinAce can’t recognize them as a Rar or Ace file. Any other ideas?
Any help would be appreciated.

Sometimes I have found that only WinRAR will extract some RAR files (don’t ask me why!). Give that a try.

WinRar will not recognize the 001 file simply by double clicking on it … you have to drag and drop it onto winrar … then it will work.

WinAce is also having troubles with most tar archives with long pathnames in them.

Hey, thank you for all of your help!
