DVD Ranger reports improved version of Cinavia Blu-ray copy protection

DVD Ranger today posted a blog on their site reporting their Cinavia removal software CineX HD software doesn't work on the movie "SexTape". According to DVD Ranger several people complained that the required download to remove Cinavia from the movie contained an error. Apparently the error is caused because the developers of Cinavia, Verance, made changes to the copy protection.

DVD Ranger states about this on their website:

"Some people have noticed that there was an error in the database for “SexTape”. According to the reports we have investigated what could be the problem and behold, we have identified the problem. We can only say that CineX HD is now topped by Hollywood. Because with “SexTape” Cinavia was so changed, that it bothers CineX HD for the first moment.

This is now the second manipulation, which we have found. Thus CineX HD, even if people like Cienoway always behave ridiculous, has become a problem. Also those manipulations show that it is not possible to beat CinEx HD with the Cinavia detector technology. Even changing the structure of Cinavia as it has happened now will not help against CineX HD because its main flaw still remains in effect. Anyway, we have this problem fixed quickly for the films “SexTape” and “Deliver Us From Evil”.

We do not want to explain what what changed. You can read this well in our white paper."

Besides this report, DVD Ranger also announced new database files for the movies The Tourist (English Track), Takers (English Track),  SexTape (Repack) (English Track) and Deliver Us From Evil (English Track). And if that's not enough there is a long post on the DVD Ranger Blog ranting against DVDFab, TDMore, Slysoft, Xillisoft , DVD Cloner and all other movie backup software developers.
