    Interesting jitter reports from the 20A3P [although it did just get jitter reporting...]. Nice scan reults all around.

    That MCC 004 at 20x looks better than some of my 8x burns on YUDEN000 T02.

    Anyway scans and burning times are really impressive!Logically 215 will be a blast, maybe even better than Samsung 203B!

    Is there any downside you've noticed so far to using the 18x and 20x speeds with this drive? Like obtrusive noise, noticeable vibration, etc? Especially with CMC Magnetics' media?

    Sorry, I have some mistakes. Further test the read speed is:
    16x: Data Disc(+R, -R), Video Disc(+R w/booktype to DVD-ROM)
    12x: Video Disc (-R, +R w/o booktype)

    I think this Drive only can read at 12x speed if the media have not been certified at 16x or higher write speed.

    Well, I can understand for the 20x speed for writing and the 16x speed for reading, haha. I meant "does the noise produced by burns at 18x and reads at 12x compare to the noise produced by the 112 at those speeds?". Sorry for the confusion.

    If ONLY 20x on this drive was quieter than 18x on the 112...that'd be a first from an ODD manufacturer. Well, 18x on recent Liteys is quieter than 16x on 1st gen 16x Liteys, but...

    I like those results, 2601. It's a shame that Pioneer erred on the side of quality and locked RICOHJPN R03 to 12x. But I have other drives for overspeeding when I don't need quality, so never mind that.
