Media: Tayio Yuden Full Face Printable DVD+R 8x YUDEN000 T02
Batch: TG000041
Write Speed: 16x
Burn Software: Disc Utility
OS: Mac OS X 10.5.4
Firmware: 1Z2
This scan looks great but the quality score is only 95?
Same scan with my Benq1650 show higher and more PI faliures still the quality score is 98
Also is the Lite-On DH-20A4P not capable to scan jitter?

It looks like an excellent burn, but please scan at 4x using the Lite-On and included a screenshot of the scan info window, so we can see that enough samples were taken for the scan.Quote:Media: Tayio Yuden Full Face Printable DVD+R 8x YUDEN000 T02

Also the jitter as vroom decribes above.
You will also require a transfer rate test and the proof of the burning speed to qualify to post in this thread.
The quality score is 95 because Lite-On scans at 1ECC, but you can generally disregard the quality score as it's purely based on the highest PIF value.__________________

Thanks.Quote:Very, very nice, soulsurvivor. Specially considering the speed the disc was burned at.
Multitasking too.
WCG & F@H (Both set to run @ max - hence CPU usage reading 100%) running along with surfing the net.
So not only says something about my setup, but the 7203S too. -

Sorry for posting in the wrong thread, I though I was in posting in the "Optiarc AD-7200A/S and AD-7201A/S Results & Discussion".Quote:It looks like an excellent burn, but please scan at 4x using the Lite-On and included a screenshot of the scan info window, so we can see that enough samples were taken for the scan.

Anyway the jitter option for DVD is on in the advanced options but still no jitter reading.__________________

You are aware that the Jitter scan is done separately after the PIE/PIF scan. -

Nope, I'm notQuote:You are aware that the Jitter scan is done separately after the PIE/PIF scan.
I'm used to my BenQ 1650 which do all the reading in one scan.
Feelin' stupid...but this is my first Lite-On drive...
soulsurvivor thanks for the info.__________________

That's OK.
I use/prefer BenQ to Lite-On.
BenQ doing PIE/PIF/Jitter all in one saves time.
Not sure why Lite-On needs to have 2 passes.
Lite-On with DL often fails to cope with Layerbreak whilst doing the Jitter scan too.
Not any good for CDR scanning either. -

TY +R 8x burned at 8x
This are some cheap TY media here in Greece but they burn just great.__________________

yeah, reading over the rules i was wondering the same thing.Quote:Hey, you are right on the first scan, but the only way you can meet this rule change http://club.cdfreaks.com/2071681-post13.html with a BenQ, is to scan at 1ECC and the only way is to scan @4x, so I guess we need a rule change for 4x scanning with BenQ's! Thanks soulsurvivor.
