    but the 20A4P reports some spikes which reminds me of the relinked errors that was in the old sammy 203B firmwares

    the 20A3S on the other hand reports more PIF's with no spikes

    i fear the learning mech will go crazy again later

    Thanks to yu031217 for the link to this firmware.

    Unfortunately it still has the same strategies and the 12x OHT bug (see below). If you are using 7LC2, I would suggest you stick with it and don't waste any time trying this firmware.

    The bad scans may partially be due to the media too cos BenQ media tends to be be very erratic from my experience with them. Then again, mine are mainly the Malaysian batches.

    But on the whole, DaxonAZ3 discs seem to wear quite well over time in the harsh climate here.

    U R Sure Right About that Erratic thing
    but the iHAS 120 particularly after a number of burns with HT & OHT on - upon using different batches at the same time- screw the hell out of the writing strategy and makes massive spike zones (PIF's) and this is the 3rd time it did it for me

    i guess i'll stick to one batch for now and if i intend to use another i'll clear the OPC history to avoid this problem in the future

    all the BenQ Daxon AZ3 i have are made in Malaysia
    they are cheap,available & reliable
    and i had scans better than Verbatims from them
    but the variance factor between batches are really wide
    but still the worst BenQ Is better than a lot of other crap
