    Wind,

two burns of MCC004 from the same batch as previously posted in this thread and burned at 20x. The quality at the end is much worse than using ht689. In all burns OHT,FHT,OS on SB off.

I think if you use 18x instead of 20x for your drive, it would be much stable. I have face the same condition at my side, too. Our engineers is still working hard on it......

From my point of view, the quality is almost the same with HT689. Sometimes you will just get larger PIE near the end with 20x and same firmware. But, I will try to see if I can improve this...

I agree. The rise in PIE is not that big of a problem. Keep in mind that these disc's may be marginal for such high burning speeds. I would be much more concerned with high jitter and PIF.

I'm trying to get a few test burns done myself to see how this firmware does. It's been a long day already but I have to give it a try. I'm encouraged by some of the scans posted so far.

So far they do, but I'm still testing. I'm doing a beta/jitter scan at the moment.

Perhaps a small blemish on the disc?

@C0deKing, Do you have any Ritek R05? I can't get them to burn even poorly in the 20A3P, They are horrible in this drive. My other drives can burn them, not great, but far better than the 20A3P.

@Wind, The Ritek R05 strategy may have a problem.

Hi Wind. This is the first 8x burn I have tried in a while and I note there is still a long leadout when burning at this speed. Writing ends in 8:05 and the burn finished in 8:31. All options were on.
