Sorry, no. I just know it is a SW-5584 package, but can not unpack the main firmware yet.

For Matshita SW-5584. First posting of FW on Buffalo USA site (Release 4/13/09) for external drive, unlike Japanese site you have to enter the serial number of your drive to download the update(). Anyway for those who have waited for the US version (I do not know if there is any difference between Jp version and Usa version), the download link is:

I'm sure the fw is the same as that of the external Buffalo(BR816SU2), but on the US site they want serial# validation, so here is the link to the internal fw update (released 4/13/09) - probably the japanese firmware is just the same - and to download one doesn't need serial# - should be in this thread.

    link:http://www.buffalotech.com/support/v...NXLTU1ODQuemlw

why is the us site 2-3 mos behind the japanese site for fw updates - that's s_itty.

also the japanese site lists the fw update as 1.02 the us site states it as 1.2. no differnce in fw - just bad web management - I think.

Seems an IO serial number is needed to download the firmware. Can someone with an IO drive download and share please? Thanks.

I'll second that - why doesn't someone take up Nekrosoft's idea and link a copy of this FW in a post,(someone with a IOdata drive serial #) so everyone can have a swipe at this - LG isn't coming out with anything yet

NEC Japan released two OEM firmwares for LG GGW-H20N drives:
    GGW-H20N XN06 original page
    GGW-H20N XB03 original page

Here are the changes compared to XL05 for supported BD-R MIDs. There might also be changes in the write strategies for MIDs supported in XL05.
    Code:
    added BD-R
