Dear all,
DVDFab 6 is out! It's the all-in-one software package for copying Blu-ray/DVD and converting video file.
For now, DVDFab 6 contains five options: "DVD to DVD", "DVD to Mobile", "Blu-ray to Blu-ray", "File to Mobile" and "File Mover".
You can try any option 30 days for free, and the time only count down when you use it first time.
For registered users of DVDFab Platinum/Gold, your key is still valid for version 6, and all features are same as version 5 or more than it.
DVDFab 6.0.0.0 Beta is out (April 27, 2009):
http://www.dvdfab.com/download/DVDFa...angate-689.exe
What's New:
New: Updated user interface.
New: Updated language files.
Please tell us what you think for the new version, thank you very much.
Best Regards,

You must be kidding me.

Thank you Fengtao. I am having great success with your dvdfab 5.2.5.0. I have only one question for you.
I am using version 5.2.5.0. and you have not posted any copyright upgrades, should install beat 6.0.0.0 anyhow.
thanks rip... -

Hi DVDKingdom,
It will be corrected in next version, thank you very much for the report.
If you have a lifetime key for old version of DVDFab, you will have "DVD to Mobile" registered as lifetime too.
Best Regards,

I have registered versions of DVD Fab and Video Fab.
Will my registration code for Video Fab work with the "file to mobile" option for DVD Fab? -

Same issue here and I have removed this beta and all traces of it from my systemQuote:6.0.0.0 Beta lists DVD to Mobile as Trial user even though my version 5 key is a DVDFab Platinum Lifetime key valid for DVD to DVD and DVD to Mobile.
so much for beta testing

You do not need to worry about this beta, it will coexist perfectly with V5 installed you can leave them both on the desktop if you wish. The Mobile option is registered but just says its not, like Fengtao said, its a glitch that will be fixed ASAP. __________________

That's a pretty big jump in version numbers from the last official 5.2.5.0. I assume no further development on version 5 (so 5.2.5.0 is the last)?
I'm going to wait for official 6. Seen too many bugs posted with quite a few of these last Betas. I know thats what Beta is but I'm really not that much into Beta testing. I'm happy to just sit back and let all you guys kill them bugs, heh heh. Then I can sit back and enjoy the official version from all you guy's hard work. See what a good guy I am, I'm giving you guys all the credit.
Since I only use Fab to rip DVDs, the only reason for me to switch versions would be if it ripped a DVD that my previous version would not, or if performance was better, etc.__________________

Previously, I used V5.3.2.1 to copy a few BD movies to their own folders using DVDFAB's "Full Disk" option. In each case the process was error free.
I just recently installed v6.0.0.0 and attempted to create BD "Full Disk" duplicate to a different folder based on the aforementioned BD hard disk folders. Essentially cloning the entire "Full Disk" BD folder/subfolder structure. I realize this makes little sense as one can simply use the OS command "xcopy" to accomplish the same thing. If you are silly enough to try this, as I did, DVDFAB pops up "Task 1 failed Error 102". The size at the bottom registers "Quality: 100% (0MB -> 0MB)" I might suggest a simple warning message instead. Just a thought.
On another note, when trying to generate "Main Movie" versions from "Full Disk" any tips for how to figure out which is the best selection -- short of watching the preview window for several minutes. Sometimes there are several titles, that by their length, look like good candidates -- but it's tough tell which is best. -

Got to admit, for a new major version number, there doesn't appear to be much new if thats the full log. Will more features be added before the full v6? __________________

Ver 5 and ver 6 are in their own folder so ver 6 should not be effecting ver 5 so it may be related to another issueQuote:also noticed the quality shows %100 for dvd5 or dvd9 in beta 6.0.0.0 and it also messed it up in v5 and it won't correct itself after i uninstalled v6__________________

your right, i re-checked with another disc thats over 7gb in size and it seemed correct (dropped to 65% for dvd5) and then rechecked the 1st one (also over 7gb) but it still shows 100% in full disc mode so it has to be an issue with that particular disc (ICE AGE). it may have been like that all along but can't say for sure. -

Stormjumper is correct , you can have V5 and V6 installed and there wont be any adverse effects. If you have a problem its not because both versions are installed.Quote:your right, i re-checked with another disc thats over 7gb in size and it seemed correct (dropped to 65% for dvd5) and then rechecked the 1st one (also over 7gb) but it still shows 100% in full disc mode so it has to be an issue with that particular disc (ICE AGE). it may have been like that all along but can't say for sure.

well the reason i thought v6 "messed" with v5 is under common settings/general when you do a fresh install all the boxes are checked and my settings from v5 carried over into v6, i didn't have to uncheck any boxes or change any settings related to the dvd to dvd or the dvd to mobile option. it was as if it was already set up the way i have dvd5 already configured. anyway thank you storm and alan. as for v6 i like how it looks (very impressive) and thank you fengtao
EDIT: can't get default output size to save as dvd5 in v6 and file mover remains checked after unchecking and restarting v6. anybody else have this problem?

Have you tried going into common settings and clicking on DVD to DVD on the left side ? there is a setting to change the default output size to either DVD5 or DVD9Quote:well the reason i thought v6 "messed" with v5 is under common settings/general when you do a fresh install all the boxes are checked and my settings from v5 carried over into v6, i didn't have to uncheck any boxes or change any settings related to the dvd to dvd or the dvd to mobile option. it was as if it was already set up the way i have dvd5 already configured. anyway thank you storm and alan. as for v6 i like how it looks (very impressive) and thank you fengtao

You are absolutely right, duh, when the version changes so does the install directory so nothing to mess anything up.
Thanks for pointing out that I am so completely exhausted and tunnel visioned.
