Next large Windows 10 Update will be available from the 17th of October

The next large Windows 10 update will be released on the 17th of October this year. On the technology exhibition IFA, currently held in Berlin, Microsoft's Executive Vice President of the Windows and Devices Group, Terry Myerson, announced that the Fall Creators Update will be available for download from that date.

The update will bring several large and small updates to Windows 10. The most important new feature is that Windows 10 will get support for its own Virtual Reality glasses from Windows manufacturers such as Acer, Dell, Lenovo and HP. The so-called 'Windows Mixed Reality' VR glasses will also become available on the 17th of October.

Windows 10 Fall Creators Update will also introduce the video app Story Remix and the photos app will be totally revamped.

Another interesting change is that the Fall Update will run on mobile chips, normally found on smartphones. Several manufacturers of Windows PCs want to introduce new models with these chips which should also be 'always connected' thanks to their support for 4G networks.
