The screenshot I posted was from a test with a badly fragmented image file (421 fragments) on a relatively slow hard disk so 20MB should be enough for most configurations.
COdeking just pointed me to this thread in response to a question in another thread - that's great that you've added the ability to adjust the buffer for the upcoming version, it will be a welcomed feature after the issues I was having that I brought up in another thread.

What WAS the buffer size previously, 20MB? It seemed like much less as I was having alot more buffer/write speed fluctuation vs. other burning programs with similar buffer levels.

It was only 1 MB with previous versions.

ditto: i didn't find this option.

I also find a strange thing: selecting in options "burn image file", after closing the window and reopening options "burn image file" remain unselected. Do someone noted the same thing?

Anyway, many thanks ErikDeppe

@Erik,

I have a PIO 111 installed in a Prolific PL-3507 External Case. With the old version of 4.10 I had no problem creating a test disk at 16X (would only reach 15.6X)...

Attached is image of the same drive & case using 4.50...

for the 4.50 version

But.. can we please please PLEASE have an updated "which drives work and which drives don't" with 4.50? The old page is not only hopelessly outdated but also basically invisible on the webpage.

Thanks Erik, the added features, adjustable buffer in particular, are GREAT to see.

How is the buffer adjusted though?
