Pretty sure this happens when you remove the disc before saving the scan.

Is there any plan to allow Kprobe to update by connecting through a proxy (HTTP) or is it possible now somehow? Thanks!

I haven't read through the entire thread, but searching did not find a mention of this. With Kprobe 2.4.2, if you are using Large Fonts under Windows Display Properties, you cannot set the speed for Kprobe. That part of the settings box is NOT visisible.

The only fix I could find was to temporarily set the Display Properties to Normal Size Fonts, reboot, ran Kprobe, set the speed, change back to Large Fonts, and reboot again.

This is my first Kprobe scan. I am not sure if the attached file shows up. Can any tell me if this is a good scan or not?

3rdDegreeBurn, that is a very good scan. RICOHJPNR01 tends to work very well on the Liteon drives. One word of advice, change the speed from "Max" to 4x. This is the standard used here in these forums.

May i report a "bug" about KProbe 2.4.2.( i was using 2.2.3 untill today). I have resolution 1024x768 ,with large fonts.
The GUI in these conditions hides the speed (i presume it's below the errors, which is the last thing i can see).

Also i can't set the desired speed myself because it's also hidden.

BQuick, your post is number 535, in post number 531 (4 up from yours), I reported the same problem and a work around for the problem. A pain in the a**, but it will allow you to set the speed.

It seems pretty obvious this software is not using the standard Windows programming interface, as it not only has problems with Large Fonts, it also does not cooperate with UltraMon.

jeep00: Are the discs readable? Try doing a transfer graph with Nero CD-Speed. That error message could very well mean that the disc is unreadable.

It could also be that you have created a multisession disc that is not closed.

The discs are all readable.
In case of Nero CD-DVD Speed Transfer and DQT, there is no problem.

I've noticed a lot of new members, in the Liteon forum, using KP v2.3.0 and I think the reason for this is that the first post still points to this version and the latest version is buried deep in the thread.

Is it possible for a moderator of this forum to update the first post to reflex a link to the latest version.

Thanks.

That's a very bad scan. PIs should be below 280 and the PIFs should be below 4.

Yes, your scan speed should be set to 4x. Try again using that speed but I don't think it is going to make a huge difference.

Edit: What drive are you using?

PI = Parity Inner errors, analogous to C1 errors on a CD-R/RW disc. One thing : KProbe will not work properly on your BTC drive, it only works correctly on Lite-On DVDRW drives. Take those error readings with a grain of salt.

Is there anything that will work with BTC drives

Try the Nero CD-DVD Speed Disc Quality Test. This might work with your BTC drive.

Your results with KP are totally unrealistic and should be ignored.
