Why would they want to develop old TVs, anyway? I would think they would only want to develop new ones.

I read a blurb somewhere about TV's that use lasers to draw the picture. Quite frankly I can not see why this is not being developed further. The advantages that were mentioned in the article were phenomenal. It did mention that they would maintain the light intensity over time and that the contrast is excellent. Maybe people would buy them and never replace them. The article also mentioned that over time they could be produced relatively inexpensively. Hmmm maybe that is why you hear so little about them.
