I wouldn't be surprised if she doesn't leave the Republican Party and run as an independent in the future. The Republican Party hasn't done her any favors either. It is obvious that both parties feel threatened by her and want to neutralize her even if it means attacking her children.

Did you look at the corruption that is running rampant in the Democrat Party? I'll take an affair over bribery, selling Senate seats, stuffing $90,000 in a freezer, not paying taxes, etc. any day. If Obama keeps on his socialist, massive deficit spending and tax increase agendas, nearly any Republican will beat him in 2012. I look for Palin to take on Obama and his liberal/socialist policies and bring the Republicans back to where they belong.... a conservative party. She will be a thorn in his side for the next 3.5 years. Obama won with 53% of the vote in 2008. Hardly a landslide. I probably know enough people personally that regret voting for him to knock that number to below 50% today. I see the 2010 election looking more and more like 1994 and the 2012 election like 1980 as each day passes. The radical, far left liberals controlling the Democrat Party are overreaching and will likely get spanked for it at the first opportunity by the voters.

That's the best the Republican party has to offer? Palin? That's your hope for the future? How sad.

1) Knows of a scandal coming up.
2) Is preparing to run in 2012
3) If she's smart, going to run for the Senate to get some more experience.
4) Is sick of the mudslinging BS political system and media in this country and just wants to kick back and hunt moose.

I'm a moderate Republican for more than 30 yrs. now, but I think you're delusional Dude. The Republican Party has turned so far right that they have completely alienated the moderates in their own party to the point that they are jumping ship or have been so marginalized that the right doesn't pay attention to them. When that blowhard entertainer Rush is being touted by Cheney and others as a leader of the Party, then the Party is in deep trouble. Insult Colin Powell and, ignore your own (black) party leader and call Rush the leader of the Party. Well, he ain't my leader.
Having said that, I also think the Democrats are doing the same on the Left when they make a nut job like Pelosi their spokesperson. There use to be moderates in both parties that moved both platforms closer to the center where there was some middle ground that they could agree on. Not anymore. It seems that both sides are putting their parties' interests ahead of the country's. I always try to split my ticket. It's called checks and balances. It's not good when one party has control of the Executive and both Legislative branches of the gov. (and soon to be Judicial?).

If I were an Obama supporter I wouldn't find any humor in his dismal performance, to date. Or maybe it is better to laugh than to cry about it.

If you are truly a moderate Republican then you should be extremely happy with them about now. They nominated one of the most liberal people in their party last year and have not followed many conservative fiscal principles for a very long time. They have also given pro-abortion politicians wide latitude to become prominent members of the party. My guess is you are really a left of center person (especially considering your comment about Limbaugh) because you really don't have much to complain about if you are truly a moderate Republican.

The Democrats are doing what the Republicans did when they controlled Congress only they are screwing up much faster. If they think socialism will be accepted in this country they have made a HUGE mistake. If they think that MASSIVE deficit spending (more so than ANY Republican EVER dreamed of) will make for a sound economy and low unemployment rate then they are in for a very big surprise. The tide is turning on Obama, Reid and Pelosi already and if the economy doesn't improve substantially before the 2010 elections the Democrats will lose control of the Senate and/or House. As I said, the correlations between 1994 and 2010 midterm elections are becoming more clear as each month passes.

The USA is a center-right country. It is a fact. The Democrats have forced us so far to the left that it is inevitable they will see a backlash at the polls.

It looks like Powell is starting to see Obama for what he is. A socialist. Buyer's remorse is setting in for many people that supported Obama.
