Plextor Europe also announces external Plextor SCSI drive


A few weeks ago we already reported that Plextor Japan was planning to release an external version of their new 40/12/40 SCSI drive. This morning I found a press release in my mailbox in which Plextor Europe also announces the external version, the PX-W4012TSe:



Plextor, the leading manufacturer of high reliability CD/CD-RW drives, today announces the availability of the external PlexWriter 40/12/40S. As with the recently launched internal SCSI version, the external PlexWriter 40/12/40S makes use of an Ultra SCSI interface and is capable of 40 x writing, 12 x re-writing and 40 x reading.

The external PlexWriter 40/12/40S has a silver casing with a black front bezel '“ complimenting many of the stylish, contemporary peripherals found on the market today. The drive is ideal for professional users due to the SCSI interface that allows the management of multiple daisy-chained peripherals.
