I smell Smoke screen . I t wasn't gonna be done until April anyway so let's say someone leaked source code. then Blame hackersfor all the delays. a leaked source code isn't a good excuse for delays in my opinion. It's not like the hackers took the only source code copy and now the can't work until the create a new engine and code.:r

they spoke with the guy that confirmed the release last night, as well. he says its still on for xmas. someone doesnt have the right story right now. of course, now there is supposed to be a playable beta

well the Halflife Beta is true, i am dld it right now. there is no known group that has released it, it just says Anon as the group. And inside the NFO it says Half-Life 2 - "Chosen 9" release

Either it's a missinformation or producers of HL2 complete idiots !!! It's makes no comercical sence to delay game - give more time to competition to release theirs may be with parts of HL2 engine ? ,loose the Crissmas buy rush ? Actually it's makes more sence to release it faster befor anyone could use thir code. So it's either steam or the game is not ready and was about to be delayed anyway...

all i have to say is that when a game of this magnitude comes along, despite all the leaks and what not, it is going to sell quite well at the stores. why? well, to encourage the release of half-life 3. i think most pirates will actually purchase the retail version of THIS game in particular. sure, there will always be those who play the cracked version of the game, but c'mon ... this is Half-Life 2 we're talking about here. It needs to be purchased. i believe that people are grabbing the beta of this game because, quite frankly, it looks so !@#$%#@ awesome that people are beginning to pee in their own pants. Even if I manage to accidentally get a hold of the beta somehow, I'm still gonna buy the game. Even if the game is released 3 weeks before its retail date, I'm gonna buy this game. Somtimes, you just gotta buy the game, ya know?

I would just like to say a big thank you to the hackers that hacked the valve Sofware server, stole and then released the keypart of the source code. Basically you have killed the possibility of anyone seeing this much wanted game this side of christmas, if ever Hope you are happy with your stupid and worthless efforts What were you thinking? could you finish the game for valve software? After the first delay (planned release for october, did you remember?) Valve found something wrong and decided to release it even later than christmas2k3. Now, what could they do to justify this? How could fans react to another delay? Another DukeForever? No, no... So, Valve itself decided to let just a small part of the game go, in the aim to give something to people who's getting mad for it, and to find a vulnerable and anonymous responsible. Weird but possible, uh?
