CNET reviews 7 CD-creation apps

JaapAap used our newssubmit to point us to an article on CNet.com. Cnet.com has reviewed burning software, I don't think we can take this review very serious, as they recomend Click'N Burn Pro 2.0 while also Ahead's Nero is in the test.

Other software that is tested: Click'N Burn Pro 2.0, HotBurn, Toast 5.0 Titanium, Discribe 4.0, Nero Burning ROM 5.5, Easy CD Creator 5.0 Platinum, SmartDisk MVP.

CNET recommends:

  • For Mac: Toast 5.0 Titanium

When it comes to ease of use and CD-burning power, Roxio Toast 5.0 is an absolute standout. Not even the greenest neophyte could get lost in the interface, and a digital music pro couldn't ask for more sophisticated features, including the ability to create hybrid discs, which can play on both PCs and Macs. And, surprisingly, it's the only product in our roundup that can create DVDs as well as CDs.

  • For PC: Click'N Burn Pro 2.0

Since Roxio Toast is a Mac-only product, we give the nod to Click'N Burn Pro 2.0 for high-end Windows folks. It covers all the CD-burning basics, such as copying one disc to another and creating music CDs. Plus, because Click'N Burn lets you make four copies of the same material, using four different drives at once, it'll make life much easier if you publish your own music.
