Verbatim MCC 004 burns @4x only in CD-DVD Speed

I cannot burn in CD-DVD Speed past 4x in 'Create Disc' function...
My Lite-On LH-20A1L does not like MCC 004 either!

Anyone else having this problem?

I downgraded my DW1650 to BCDC and MCC004 burned at the correct speed after that. No idea about the Lite-On.
