is this information correct ?

for example CVT file for Plextor PX-750A has file size: 2097204 bytes
I suppose that flash memory inside is like 29LV160 (2097152 bytes) so we have 52 bytes for header and checksum !

Any ideas ?

A Plextor PX-750A is a Benq produced TEAC DV-W516E clone, based on a Panasonic chipset. This drive was also sold as Benq DQ60.
The only thing the Plextor PX-750A .cvt file has in common with a real Benq (Philips designed, Philips Nexperia chipset based) .cvt file is the file extention.

Why I'm asking for Plextor PX-750A firmware ?

Because I have dead BenQ DQ60 (improperly flashed) and I'm searching .bin file for flash memory (-> EON EN29LV160A - TSOP48 package) dump.

Yes - in this BenQ the chipset is -> Panasonic MN103SA6GSJ

Hmm maybe future version of MediaCodeSpeedEdit by ala42 will be helpful for dead drives because now the type/extension of file saved by this tool is the same like source file.
