No, if you check the link, that appears to be 4.07, and with Nero 7

Sorry, Geno, I should have been more specific. I meant to check the link the Pulsee gave where Pulsee posted a screen shot of CD-Speed 4.07 (and yes, you're right--it is not available at www.cdspeed2000.com; I only got 4.04 on updating my Nero to version 66016) to be available with Nero 7. Unless CDSpeed 4.07 is posted at the cdspeed website, I won't have the $$$ to upgrade to Nero 7.

I second that, especially because the bottom box of 4.01 always gets cut off on my machine, when I resize the graphs just get bigger.

Yep - I extracted this version from the nero 7 package 3 days ago

In Nero info tool there is also a new checkbox to see if a drive supports solidburn

Can't find much new except solidburn though.

The SolidBurn and OverSpeed options show grayed out for me (1640 BSLB). It might be because I already have them "permanently" se;ected with QSuite 2.0. I'll have to give it a try after using QSuite to deselect them.

    Pity WOPC isn't included...

Has anyone compared quality scores with known media (like yuden t02) and solidburn enabled against the same media with solidburn disabled yet?

(I just read the topic about a review in a German computer magazine, and apparently the writer states that the drives performs better with solidburn enabled even with known media types) can somebody back up that statement?

    Strange.
My 1640 is on 164B firmware right now and CD/DVD Speed reports the same as QSuite2.

Initially when I tried solid burn Q scores increased to 99% from 98% and I was happy. Then on a few disks the score dropped back to 98% so I turned Solid burn off and the next few burns were 99% with PIF totals of 60 to 70. So I turned soldi burn off. Today I managed to get 97% and PIF of over 100 total. My conclusion is that for Yuden000 T02 there is no benefit to solid burn. Any variation is in the mind of the reviewer or more likely a small variation between disks at the top of the stack and those further down.
