    For some reason when i do a quality scan to a burned disc(any disc), the first scan would show really bad results(many PO failures, and high PIF). Then when i scan it again, the results would improve as i continue to scan several more times. However, if i eject the disc and put it back in, the results go back to bad and then better as i scan more. Is this a normal behavior or is my burner dying or is it a bug in cd-dvd speed(i have used several different versions already).

    Also, which result should i believe in?

    Oh, and i have tried different firmware and even crossflashed my 1655 to 1650 but still the same results.

    I also had this happening with my 1640 , just let the drive perform a TRT before making the quality scan

    What is a TRT?

    Also it looks like you are having a similar problem to what I am having when I scan my LG GSA H10L burns on my Liteon. When I scan at 8X towards the tail end the speed gradually increases from 8 to around 8.3X like ur scans are doing. When I scan the same disc at 4X there isnt all the errors at the end. If I am offbase or anyone knows why this is, please lemme know.

    TRT = Transfer Rate Test.

    Go to the Run Test menu and choose "Transfer Rate Test" (with the Benchmark tab open).
