| Update to the chart that is long overdue. Seperated the 1620 and 1640/1650 series. Added three very fast non BenQ burns. zevia could ban me I guess but one of those burns is his.

| Excellent job g, very nice....... I think pinto, Psh, and myself should get some kind of cupie doll. Out of 60 burns in the +R department, there were only 3 that used B7W9 F/W and Psh is 2nd with it. Gotta be dumb luck eh? If that doesn't say something about that F/W, nothing does. V9 still Rules!!!!

| You will have to talk to Nealh or zevia about the Cupie doll. There is a few more burns with B7W9 in the -R but you are right B7V9 is a good FW for the 1620.

| Thanks crossg for the updated chart. No 1640 +R burn from me in that chart, but here comes one. Now my 1640 has been flashed more than 350 times... ![]() MID: MCC 003 Verbatim (25pcs spindle 43481) Type: DVD+R 8x rated Burned as: Nero Create Data Disc (old ISO image, movie) Write strategy used: MCC 004 (Thanks to ala42's MCSE) Burned at: 16x speed Burntime: 5:22 Drive/Firmware: BenQ 1640 BSOB, OS/SB_km not ticked, WOPC off I don't have QSuite installed on my box. SB is solely govern by CD-DVD Speed. - Very short lead-in and lead-out time on this firmware... - No "fast spin-up or "short lead-out" tools used. - To my surprise there is only one dip in scan test... Big thanks to my son for testing. |
- #561
| Extremely impressive scan, I have done the same thing with my MCC003s, but I usually burn them at 12X but when using the MCC004 media code with MCSE, my best time was 5:18 for 4.3 gig, with a QS of 90. I got my MCC003 in a 100 spindle from New egg. com for 32.00 just this past weekend.

| Silver Thermal TYG02 DVD-R 8x. (106) BenQ1620 B7W9 FW. WOPC Off. QScan trick.Qsuite 2.0 Burn time of 5:32 Last edited by jamescooley1; 22-05-2008 at 22:25. |

| Wow, james. Your 1620 is a great one, and getting a tyg02 8x to overspeed to 16x with only 20 PIF total is so exceptional--especially to back it up with <10% jitter. Keep that 1620 'till it won't burn anymore!

| DJSUB, I discontinued my wopc guide a while ago because it was outdated and primarily made for 1620's. Quikee's WOPC tool also has all functions needed for fast burns. ![]() CD-DVD Speed's latest versions allows you to burn images (ISO, NRG) not to waste media only for "data discs". |
