I'd like that drive (or the DW2000) but I haven't found a website, not chinese because I don't understand nothing, to buy it.

Hi
In short NO!*
It's a Lite-On that will, in this guise use some of the QSuite utilities.
SolidBurn does not function as well as it does with the Philips chipset. SmartX does its best to meddle with even that.
The 'Air Flow Cooling System' without side venting just doesn't cut it.
I also believe (but don't know as fact) that the EEPROM Clean Tool isn't as sweeping as it is with the original BenQ/Philips.
Leadin times typical of Lite-On MediaTek drives. Yet not present in the Samsung proving this is a Lite-On derived problem.
Auto Balance System, sadly unbalanced.
*Relates to 16x rated media.

Great review, I enjoyed it. Even though I know its a Liteon in disguise the firmware is different so I was very interested to see the results. Thanks.

All well and good but given the complete lack of availability in the west, it's almost pointless for many of us to discuss.

Anyone know if BenQ will ever come back?

My Lite On 20A1P is very ugly even with 3 faceplate (Beige , Black and Silver) and I use the black one , then I bought my cousin a Benq DW 1800 and it has an awesome Black faceplate , I am tempted to get one my self although both my cousin's 1800 ad my 20A1P has Benq DW 2000 6B33 firmwares

Awesome review, love those CMC at 18X, first drive every to overspeed 16X CMC and still obtain good result :bow
