| Which is better Verbatim or Sony + 16x? I can get either one for $15 for 50 (BB) and they are both made in Taiwan. I "assume" the Verbatim are MC004s and the Sonys are D21s. Will they both burn equally well in my DW1620? TIA

| Re: Which is better Verbatim or Sony + 16x? I've tested MCC004 Made in Taiwan and SONYD21 Made in Japan and Taiwan in some burners. They are great media. However, the MCC004 will show less errors especially @16x compared to SONYD21.

| Re: Which is better Verbatim or Sony + 16x? When it comes to 16x DVD+R media, I'd prefer Verbatim (Mitsubishi) as well, for BenQ drives that is. Even the made in India MCC004s burn very nicely with my BenQ DW1650. But for 16x DVD-R, I'd prefer Sony. Genuine Sony 16x DVD-R media (MID: SONY16D1), especially made in Japan or Austria, burns exceptionally well with my BenQ DW1650, even better than CMC made 16x DVD-R Verbatims (MID: MCC03RG20). Prodisc made MCC03RG20s burn worse, haven't tested MBI made ones yet. |
