| What flash utility did you try, and has FlashFix been tried? The benq dw2000 may be equivalent to 1 of 2 different LiteOns depending on dw2000 version according http://club.cdfreaks.com/f44/benq-dw...liteon-237565/. BTW your post may get more response if a mod could move this thread to the LiteOn burner forum since the drive is a rebadged LiteOn. |

![]() Can you still backup your eeprom? Hint, then maybe ala42 or C0deKing will be able to help you out. BTW, FlashFix is of no use here. |
| If I am not wrong the Benq DW2000 is a rebadged LH-20A1P. 20A3P is different chipset, that's why it does not work. My suggestion is to try to flash it to a 20a1p using the flash utility. EDIT: I found that there are two versions of this drive 20A1P and 20A4P and from your post I think it's a 20A4P. Mmm that makes my post not useful since you have already tried flashing to a 20A4P firmware. Your drive isn't dead at all. dh20a4p 0p5a means that is reading the bootcode of the drive.

| If you don't have a backup of the firmware from your drive in a .BIN format, find a DH20A4P or appropriate DW2000 firmware in .BIN format, then recover your drive using XSF: http://club.cdfreaks.com/f44/compreh...-83441/#fw-xsf
