    Hello!

    I've never been able to successfully burn a double layer dvd with my Benq 1655 drive. I'll provide as much information as I can, but if you require anything further, please let me know so I can repost more info. Basically I can burn a single layer DVD-R or +R without a hitch. I can burn the entire first layer of a DVD+R DL, but within a minute of switching to the second layer during a burn process, the burn will fail. I am running Windows XP operating System, and the DL DVD's are the Memorex brand (Ritek D01). Thank you very much for any pointers in the right direction!

    use some real DVD media, like Verbatim (MCC) and you will be satisfied. Memorex is a brand to avoid if possible.

    Try Verbatim DL+R and use ImgBurn, not NERO.

    Erm... not necessarily, but this is true at least for DVD+R DL.
    Memorex is far behind Verbatim, Taiyo Yuden and other high quality manufacturers in terms of quality and consistency, yet it's definitely good enough for some giveaways that don't have to survive ten years.
