1655 problem with verbatim DVD+R DL

Well i have this problem.

I am using 1655 and recently flash it to the new firmware BCIB.

Everything was fine until i burned verbatim DVD+R DL. I got an error disc from every program(nero, clonecd, alcohol).

I have no ides what was going on, since I used to burned 2 verbatim DVD+R DL. The results was success.

Just that now I installed the new secondary HD, and my image was on secondary HD. Is it cause a problem?

I just flash 1655 back to BCGB.

I am waiting for any answer from you guys.

Greatly appreciated for any comments

Disable solid burn for known discs if it is enabled and clear learned discs.

Re: 1655 problem with verbatim DVD+R DL

Hi

Ever since I got my DW1655, I have let it burn Verbatim dual layer and I have been pleased with the result. Goes for both MKM001(2.4X) and MKM003(8X)

Well the only problem I have had with Verbatim dual layer MKM001 was that I must have had a bad batch. (10 pack from newegg). Tried to burn with both DW1655 and DW1640 and it was a crapshoot. Threw them out after 5 coasters.

I cant really see any difference between MKM001 and MKM003 other than my stand alone dvd player(lite-on lvd2001, its old) hates MKM003. I put a MKM003 and have to eject and insert a couple of times before the player plays it. The times in between it starts and spins the disc up to sounds like maximum rpm and IF I eject the tray during that time it opens and the disc becomes airborne. It litterly flyes out of the tray.
