type in G22 and there is a TL_02 version for the GH-22ls50 available - Released 31/10/09 which is today. Havent tested it yet but look like its valid according to update tool. Will post to my webspace if anyone wants. Readme is in Korean so no idea of improvements

There are much more new firmwares. I saw a GH22LP20 ver. 2.00 for example, released on 31-10-2009. Can't read korean either, but I could see "Windows 7" in that character salad.

On the Korean site there are new firmwares rleased 31/10/09 for all GH22, GH24, BE08, BH08, CH08, GE20LU11, GE20NU11, GP08NU20 drives available.

Thankfully there are several new firmware options for the LG BH08xS20 drive. I had flashed my LG BH08LS20 to EL02-05, which made it a BH08NS20 drive, when I tried to flash it with the new LG BH08LS20 ver. 2.00, it would not recognize the drive...with help from ala42() I found a way around this problem. First one has to use the unofficial version 1.00-3 FW, which will recognize the NS drive and change it back to a LS drive (if it originally had the optical rotation sensor - meaning it was originally a LS drive). Then one can flash the drive with the LG stock version 2.00 FW and one is back in business!

LG has version 2.00 for both the BH08NS20 and the BH08LS20 drives, and for NS drives, there is now EL02-06 FW.

So, I have setup download links for all these FW's, along with MCSE speed patched versions...

The above quoted files are no longer available for download - it was reckless of me to offer these as they will void one's drive warranty.

If one so desires a speedpatched version of the firmware, one has only to use ala42's tool MCSE (media code speed edit) and make the patched version oneself.

With the exception of a couple of bytes, this firmware is identical with the LG GP08NU20 1.01 firmware. Both firmwares have the same release date and the two drives have the same core. The archive contains a stand alone flasher (FlashWinX118.exe) and the firmware is a *.bin file which is a nice touch for a drive with a Panasonic chipset
