| You did get the target error at the end of the burning process, right? Guess Recode has miscalculated the movie size. Just make the movie a little bit smaller. That should solve your problem. Kaborka

| yes i got it at the end but only this one. i also get same error at the middle of the burning process(more then one time). i didn't try to burn data dvd, only burn for back up movies. any other suggestions??heeeeeelp, i am freakin' out!!! |
| I'm thinking that the drive is trying to write to the disk and is unable to, either due to a media defect or due to an incompatibility between the firmwares write stratagy and the disk. What disks are you using? Not the brand, the media code (true manufacture)? Use this program to find out the media code dvd identifier It is possible that you can have tried several brands of disks and never got a good firmware/media combination. thier are a lot of crappy medias out thier. Also, have you updated your firmware? What leeds me to think that, is that I just got that same error twice with media that I know for a fact is not supported by my drive (it wasn't burning that well with my other drives so I figured I would try it and see what happened). What little I could find searching on that error always seemed to imply poor media and or mention of media that would not burn at it's rated speed (which makes me thing that the firmware doesn't have proper instructions for that media). I have burned a few hundred disks on this drive without problems (I mostly use it as a reader) so I strongly suspect that the cause of the error for me was the fact that the media was unsuported. I would sugest updating the firmware followed by trying a known good quality media. I'm sure that we can help you find some good media. Normally I would sugest some 8x or 16x verbatium dvd+r as they are very good quality and easy to find most places, but I'm not sure what is avalable in Turkey (that is where you are, right)? What brands are avalable to you and what have you already used? Please provide the media codes for disks you have already tried (you can read the media codes off blank disks or off of disks that you have already burned, even if they didn't burn properlly). |
| Maybe first of all update Nero. I can't keep track of all the versions, but there have been problems a couple months ago.

| Update Nero, then check the connections/cable to the drive (replace it if you can), use other media -recommended ones-.
