| Hi I have two LG GSA H62N SATA drives running under Vista. I have searched for a couple of days now for a solution without success. I'm trying to remove the riplock, that's all. I have downloaded both the Genuine LG CL00 and CL01 firmware but DriveUpdater can't find the target drive. As suggested I've tried safe mode without success, tried MCSE to modify reading speed and drive type etc but always same problem. Here is the Discinfo for both drives... | I fixed it Found a post about SATA ports somewhere and to try different ones. It seems that My Gigabyte P35-DS3P Has 6 intel SATA ports and 2 Gigabyte. I changed both drives to the Intel SATA ports (The yellow ones, not purple) and all is good. Strange that the drives work flawlessly in either port but the firmware can only be updated if they are connected to the Intel ones.

| The driver of the two bad ports corrupted the drive id, which is too short.
